A world of bicycles:
   art, advocacy and innovation.

Is it not absurd, is it not a disgrace to the inventive age we live in,
to see a man obliged to employ, in order to get through the street,
a great vehicle as large almost as a house?
So let us have the velocipedes.”

New York Times, 1867

Critical Mass
The Critical Mass ride: the granddaddy of bicycle advocacy. In cities across the world, on the last Friday of every month, cyclists take over the streets. Revered and despised by cyclists and non-cyclists alike. More prominent than ever after once-friendly police infiltrated, blocked, beat down and arrested New York massers on the eve of the Republican Convention (at the behest of Mayor Bloomberg).
